Dear JW teachers,
Here is a letter of appreciation from Marilyn Nanta of Miri BP Church which we supported during Missions Week. There is also an open invitation for us to join the AF team in their twice yearly trip there to minister to them. I believe they usually go in May and November.

Dear beloved Mrs Anne Lim,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Thanks so much for your concern and care had supported us both Spiritual, physical and as well as material for the Lord’s works here at Calvary BPC Miri. Words can’t express our hearts that, how much we thank the Lord for you all, only God knows. Am very sure that the Lord will bless your ministry there as you people (teachers and children) have blessed us. (Ruth 2:12) "The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust". Not forget too the brethren of Calvary Pandan BPC for your support and remember us in prayer.
The team of Senior Adult Fellowship (Calvary Pandan BPC Singapore) to Miri is really a great blessing to us and we can see that the Lord’s work here is growing both spiritually and physically. After our VBS at Kampung Lusut, 12 children from Kampung Lusut had come for afternoon Worship Service and also came for the Children’s Sunday School. So, every week I need to fetch them from Kampung Lusut to church. Now we have more children coming for the Children’s Sunday School at noon. Thank God for sending the team to help us in the ministry especially during our VBS. Bro Timothy, Sis Constance, Sis May Chan, Bro Victor BC Lee and as well as our beloved Elder Tan did a very good job. Our pray that, Calvary Pandan BPC will send them again to help us here at Miri.
Lastly, but not the least, thanks again for your love gift of $750.00 (RM1912.50) for Calvary BPC Miri through the team which had came last August, 2014. I had given them the receipt while the team was at Miri. They had bought 2 bookshelves (RM422.00) and stationary for our Children’s Library using the love gift that they had given us. So, the balance of the money (RM1420.00) I did past to the team for them to buy more teaching material for the Sunday School Children for their next trip to Miri. We are looking forward for their next trip to Miri on November, 2014.
Thanks, God bless.
In His service,
Marilyn Nanta, Calvary BPC Miri.
(This letter is so good … it should be shared by all! – Ed)
2. Now, the "Not so good"
Today’s Straits Times (21 August) front page Headlines: "Shock and Outrage over beheading of US journalist." Below the caption: "Obama, world leaders condemn barbaric killing by ISIS militants," plus a picture showing a masked militant standing next to a man identified as U.S. journalist James Foley before his execution.
The ISIS are "showing off" their power, with the unwritten warning of "more to come" – if the U.S. should in anyway retaliate.
Whatever the outcome, there is bound to be more action – retaliation, no doubt. Watch and see. Our Lord’s return draws nearer, yet nearer, "Be ready!"
When the turmoil is bad enough, our Lord will come! Pray! ceaseless prayer for our Lord to come soon! Until then, look up and call unto Him: He alone can bring us relief from the turmoil.
Yours faithfully in the Saviour’s Service,
Dr SH Tow, Sr Pastor
