THE SPIRIT BEARETH WITNESS THAT WE ARE THE SONS OF GOD. Sons and daughters by the glorious adoption of the Spirit, be thankful! We should daily realize the blessed fact that God is our Father, and we are His children. Our heavenly Father has made ample provision for all our wants. In Jesus we will find all our needs as sinners, and all we require as saints. Whatever is in Jesus is for us, and it is our duty as well as our privilege to receive out of the fullness of Jesus, grace for grace. As children, we should listen to our Father's voice, learn His will and do His commands. We have only to obey; our Father will provide. Our focus is on duty, not on consequences. Only let us ascertain our Father's will upon any point, and it becomes at once our duty, our honour, and our happiness to do it. Believer, you have a Father who loves you more than tongue can tell, who has blessed you in Jesus with all spiritual blessings, who is now waiting for you to approach Him in prayer and praise, who wishes you to cast every care upon Him, to leave every burden at His feet, to trust Him to do you good. As an obedient child, resign your will to His and His goodness to you is certain.
