"CHRIST JESUS IS MADE UNTO US WISDOM, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND SANCTIFICATION, AND REDEMPTION." Every believer is in Christ: united to His person, interested in His divine functions, clothed with His righteousness, and sanctified by His Spirit: "there is therefore now no condemnation." Doubts there may be, fears may harass, sin there is in us, but no sin is imputed to us. The believer is under no charge. By virtue of oneness with Christ, he has been acquitted from every charge and he stands justified; he is accepted of God as a beloved child and is entitled to all the provisions of grace and glory. If he sins, he is chastened; being chastened, he confesses his sins with contrition; confessing his sins, God in faithfulness and justice forgives; he is led afresh to claim and plead the finished work of Jesus. Before God he is not condemned but acquitted. No one can lay anything to his charge, for God justifies him; he does so because Christ died for him; yea, rather, because as his surety He is risen again, and is now at God's right hand as his advocate, ever living to make intercession for him. Every believer in Christ is admitted to this blessed state and unspeakable privilege! There is therefore now no more condemnation!

No condemnation now I dread,
I am my Lord's and He is mine;
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine.
Amazing love! How can it be?
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me!
