"AS FOR ME I WILL CALL UPON GOD." And the Lord shall save me. The Lord's people are often heavy laden, their burdens pressing and their grief oppressing; but the Lord kindly invites them to cast every burden upon Him, and promises to sustain them by His grace. Guilt in the conscience and the oppression of sin in the soul, often prove an intolerable burden; but the Lord will remove these by the blood of His Son, and the comfort of His Spirit. The care of a family sinks the spirit and fills one with distress; but Jesus says, "Cast them all on me." Losses, crosses, enemies, temptations, and inward conflict, often unsettle the soul; but our God will sanctify them to us, sustain us through them, and deliver us out of them all. Our God has determined that we should wait upon Him, be wholly dependent upon Him, and glory only in Him. Believer, He will sustain you by speaking peace to your troubled heart; by enabling you to leave your perplexing problems in His hands; by sustaining you with strength in your soul; and by enabling you to endure the present with hope in Him for bright future. Thanks be unto God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. O Jesus Lord, teach me to bring every burden to Thy feet, and to cast every care upon Thee!
