November 12 Morning: "The Lord is my helper" - Heb 13:6

"I WILL NOT FEAR WHAT MEN SHALL DO UNTO ME." You can say this if Jesus is your Saviour. Then you will have this spirit-refreshing view of the most high God, the helper of His people, who is able to make them more than conquerors. Beloved, let us remember this: when called to perform some daunting task, or to endure great and sore troubles, we have the Lord as our helper. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. He will help us in every distress, bring us out of every trouble, lead us through every trial and one day land us safe in the heavenly Canaan. This is promised to everyone who trusts in Him, waits for Him, walks with Him, and strives to glorify Him. What encouragement is this, that we have an omnipotent helper in the person of God's own Son. Let us learn to lean on His everlasting arms. Let us not grieve His heart or dishonour His name, but let us keep a clear conscience, maintain a holy walk, exercise simple faith in our covenant God, and then we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man may do unto me."

For Meditation:
That Jesus from the grave arose,
Confirms my faith, disarms my foes;
Exalted on His glorious throne,
He ever prays for me His own;
He bids my anxious cares subside,
In Jesus I will yet confide.
