"LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID." Peace is a priceless blessing, the gift from the Lord. None but believers know the sweetness of the peace He bestows. He made peace by shedding His blood. He offers it in the everlasting gospel. He bestows it upon us when we believe, and it is enshrined in the heart by the blessed Holy Spirit. This peace from God is a clear and carefree conscience, a foretaste of heaven in the soul. He gives it when we pray to Him in the midst of trouble; and it makes every burden light, every trouble bearable. O Lord Jesus! give us Thy peace this morning! Let it reign in our hearts this day. We look only to Thee for peace, for "Thou art our peace." Reader, believe His word, receive His atonement, trust in His perfect work, be constant in prayer and praise, and the peace which passes all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through our Lord. Let it be your daily prayer that you may be blessed wtih God's peace in life and in death. This gift of grace flows only from God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
