"ONE IS YOUR MASTER, EVEN CHRIST." We have chosen to serve Him, because He chose to save us. He has given us the knowledge of salvation by the remission of our sins, that we might serve Him without fear, in righteousness and holiness all the days of our life. Our happiness is found in obeying our Master's word, and studying our Master's will. Let us wait on Him for the word of command, nor dare to proceed without it. Let us wait on Him for ability, to do and fulfil all His righteous will. Let us wait His time for every promised blessing, and continue looking in faith until we receive it. Let us wait at His table, and expect from Him a supply of all our needs, both spiritual and temporal. Let us wait on Him in private, and in public always follow Him faithfully. He will honour us, for He has said, "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be. If any man serve me, him will my Father honour." We shall know the truth, and the truth shall make us free; and all such are free indeed. This is the Master's promise to all who wait on Him in faith.

Thy wisdom, Lord, on me bestow,
In any sin to have no part;
To stop the mouth of every foe,
By righteous life and sunlit heart;
Sure proofs of heavenly life to show,
How we should live on earth below.
