THE CHURCH OF CHRIST IS ONE FAMILY. Part of it is in heaven, part on earth, and part is yet to be brought into existence. God is the Father of the whole. Every child is alike the object of His love, care, and concern. Each one lives in His sight, and is dear to His heart. He will not part with one. Jesus, who is surety for the whole, will never allow even one to be lost. But the enemy seeks ever to destroy the family. Our Lord likens Himself to a shepherd, and the family members to sheep. The sheep are always at risk because of the enemy. The apostle Paul warned of the peril of predators, coming into the fold. To the elders of the Ephesian church he said, "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock." This fear is now come to pass in churches everywhere. False pastors and false teachers have infiltrated into the church, preaching false gospels and doctrines of devils "not sparing the flock." Reader, beware of "wolves in sheep's clothing," and do not allow them into the family. If they are already in the fold, you need to find a sound Bible-believing church. Think!
