THE ANTICHRIST - THE LITTLE HORN

The Book of Daniel is considered the Book of Revelation in the Old Testament. It is a book of kings and kingdoms including the times of the Gentiles. It describes for us the events prior to the time of Christ’s first advent until His second coming.

In Daniel 7:21, the little horn "made war with the saints, and prevailed against them." This event is to take place during the seven years of Great Tribulation. Daniel 7:25 describes the Antichrist that "he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."

He is also described as having a mouth that speaks great things. The language used here is the same as that in Revelation 13:5 where it is described as arrogant claims consisting of the assertion of a divine right. It is assumed power over the liberty, property, and consciences of the people. To speak great things is to speak blasphemies against God. It involves the demands that men worship him, and he is strengthened by a fallen angel (Satan). He wears down the saints of the Highest One, i.e. the sufferings of Israelite believers during the future time of great tribulation. The alterations in times and in the laws refer to his attempt to extend the "time" allotted to him.

Do not in any way get involved with the affairs of the Antichrist. Do not follow his examples. Do not cooperate with them who support the Antichrist. Flee from them and never return to them.

THOUGHT: Am I an antichrist?
PRAYER: "The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands. At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob,both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep" (Ps 76:5-6).
