SANCTIFIED BY JESUS’ PRECIOUS BLOOD

God’s Word, the Holy Scripture, reveals the truth about God, His attributes, His creation (including man), His chosen people Israel, His salvation for mankind through the incarnation, death and resurrection of Christ, His Church in Christ, His Millennial Kingdom under Christ’s reign, His Final Judgment, His New Heaven and New Earth for the righteous, etc. Throughout the Scriptures, God has His instructions, moral laws and commandments for mankind to live and to worship and serve Him accordingly. The more we read and understand God’s Word, the more we see our shortcomings, unrighteousness and transgressions due to our failure to keep God’s Word. Then, we shall need and appreciate the cleansing and sanctifying blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ more and more. Let us search God’s Word to learn the truth about the precious blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is God but humbled Himself to be a man to die and shed His precious blood for the salvation of mankind:

– The remission of sins (Matt 26:28), and have peace with God (Col 1:20), as "without shedding of blood is no remission" (Heb 9:22).

– The redemption (Eph 1:7; Col 1:14). "… he hath purchased with his own blood" (Acts 20:28) and "hast redeemed us to God by thy blood" (Rev 5:9).

– The justification. "…being now justified by his blood" (Rom 5:9).

– The washing and cleansing. "… Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood" (Rev 1:5), and "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7), and God’s children "have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" (Rev 7:14).

– The access to God in the holiest. "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus" (Heb 10:19) and have fellowship with God in His light (1 John 1:7).

– The sanctification. "… he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate" (Heb 13:12).

– The victory over Satan’s accusation. "…they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb…" (Rev 12:11).

THOUGHT: Without Jesus’ blood, there is no true sanctification!
PRAYER: Lord, how I thank Thee for shedding Thy blood for me!
