A SANCTIFIED MIND (8)

To have a sanctified mind is also to have sanctified wisdom, understanding, intelligence, knowledge, judgment, reasoning, deduction, imagination and memory. All these faculties of the mind prove that man is created in God’s image and after God’s likeness and never evolved from apes or monkeys. However, due to the Fall of Adam and Eve, all these faculties are corrupted, becoming sinful and rebellious. What about your mind?

Human and worldly wisdom and understanding are just "foolishness with God" (1 Cor 3:19) and can never help us to know God and His Truth. Many unsaved scientists, philosophers or scholars with their wide knowledge of many things in this world think they are wise, smart and intelligent; and they are admired by others. But they are just foolish before God because of their unbelief. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good" (Ps 14:1). Truly, how can they be wise if they deny God and the Saviour Jesus Christ with their evolutionism, human philosophies and worldly mindsets, leading them to eternal destruction in the lake of fire on Judgment Day? Many professing Christian leaders and scholars who do not truly believe and submit to the authority of God and His Word also compromise and end up believing in Textual Criticism, the Gap Theory (a big gap of period of time between verse one and two of Genesis chapter one, giving room for human imaginations and arguments on the age of the earth and God’s work of creation), Theistic Evolutionism (the belief that God used the process of evolution to create the universe and living things), Progressive Creationism (the denial of six literal twenty-four-hour days of God’s work of creation), Liberalism, Modernism, Rationalism, Hyper-Calvinism, Charismatism, Neo-Evangelicalism, Ecumenism, Romanism, New Age Mysticism, Open Theism, Neo-Fundamentalism, New Calvinism, etc. Before God, all these mindsets, beliefs, doctrines and isms are foolishness. They depart from God and His Word of true wisdom! What about your mind?

PRAYER: Lord, please keep me humbly submissive to Thy Word.
