2 Corinthians 5:1

                       HEAVEN

Where is God? God is in heaven. God is always alive. Someday our bodies will grow old, and we will go away to live in another place. We will not always live here on earth. If we believe in Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we can go to heaven and live with God.

We must learn to love God.Instead of loving God, some foolish people spend their time on earth loving themselves and thinking they don’t need God. When they die, God will not want them to be in heaven but will send them to the ‘lake of fire’ where they live without God forever. Isn’t it scary to be in the lake of fire?

If we are going to live forever, then we must be careful how we live now. The Bible tells a story of a rich farmer who loves himself rather than loving God. The farmer went to every barn he owned. He saw that they were all full of grain. This made him very happy because he had so much in his barns. He knew he could sell the grain for a lot of money and that it would make him very rich. He would not need to work anymore. He could buy as much food and wine as he wanted and do all the things he liked.

When he went to bed, he thought about how rich he was and how he would spend his money. He did not think what God wanted him to do with the money. The rich farmer died that night. He met God. But it was too late. He did not love God. Neither did he use his money to help others nor tell others about Jesus.

Do you love God? Do you think, say and do things that are pleasing to God?

Here’s a chorus you can sing about going to heaven:

When we all get to heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus,

We’ll sing and shout the victory.
