AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST

SEPTEMBER 18

2 Corinthians 5:18-20

                        AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST

The apostle Paul and his fellow gospel labourers are Christ’s ambassadors. He told the believers in the Corinth church they too were ambassadors of Christ.

What is an ambassador? Christian boys and girls represent Christ. What we say and do tell others about Jesus’ love and power to save us.

How is your Christian walk? The Bible tells us to walk wisely because other people are watching. Who are they?

Answer: __________________________________________.

Your walk and talk must go together and must be consistent. Some people are all talk and no action. Others are all talk but their actions contradict their talk. Some Christians are like that too. Non-Christians are watching your walk.

Being ambassadors of Christ, we reflect Christ. If you identify yourself as a Christian, it is important that you also walk as God would have His children walk.

Saint Francis of Assisi said every believer should be a constant witness. He stressed that a believer’s life and the way he treats people are to be a reflection of Jesus. Jesus is the image Christians must portray in their conduct. Saint Francis himself lived a very simple life and he gave his material possessions generously to those in need. He also gave his time and energy by giving advice and direction to people. His life spoke a clear message and impacted all those around him.

Proverbs 20:11 says: “Even a __________ (IDLHC) is known of his __________ (IDSONG); whether his __________ (ROWK) be pure, and whether it be right.”

What is your life like? Does it tell a good or bad message to all those around you at home, in school and in church?

Thought: How can you be a constant witness for Christ?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for making me Your child. As a child of God, I reflect my Father in heaven. Help me therefore to walk as You would have me walk that I will be a good testimony to all those around me. Forgive me that I have sometimes walked foolishly and not wisely. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
