GOD'S GRACE

SEPTEMBER 27

2 Corinthians 12:9

                           GOD’S GRACE

When in trouble, we worry. It means that we do not trust in God. The promise that God’s grace is sufficient to take care of our troubles is the antidote to worry. Will you trust in the grace of God?

There was a mouse that lived in a barn belonging to a farmer called Joseph. One day it went near Joseph but he did not notice the creature. He was busy checking his to see what he had left to feed his family and his workers. He had more than enough of wheat – mountains of them. He was happy. Then he heard the mouse squeak. It looked very worried.

“What are you worried about, Mouse?” asked Joseph.

“I am worried that you don’t have enough wheat for me,” replied Mouse. However, there was enough wheat to last the mouse a million years or more.
Sometimes we are like the mouse. We worry about our troubles and don’t think that everything would come out all right. We are, like the mouse, foolish. God tells us that His grace is sufficient for us. That means God’s grace and love are enough to help us with every problem.

Do you ever have troubles? None of your troubles is too big for God to handle. No matter how much trouble we may have, no matter what we need, God’s love and grace will take care of you.

Let’s sing this song:
Though sorrows befall us and Satan oppose,
God leads His dear children along;
Through grace we can conquer, defeat all our foes, God leads His dear children along.
Refrain:
Some through the waters, some through the flood, Some through the fire, but all through the blood; Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song, In the night season and all the day long.

Thought: To whom does God give His grace?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we know that Your grace is enough to take care of me in all my troubles. Sometimes I do not trust You. Please forgive me. Help me remember that all I need is Your grace every day. In Jesus’ name I pray, men.
