SEPTEMBER 6, Ephesians 1:3

All the spiritual blessings heaven has are in the hands of Jesus Christ. So when a person receives Christ as Lord and Savior, he receives all that heaven contains. He is blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. The Bible tells us that we who have received the Lord Jesus Christ are very rich spiritually. How do we explain this? Let’s hear a story. There was a man who was able to explain Bible truths in simple ways to children. Once, he brought into a class a set of large colored wooden bricks of different sizes with the smallest one fitting nicely into the second smallest brick, so that the whole set could be contained inside the biggest brick. The smallest brick was called ‘forgiveness’; the forgiveness of sins. He inserted it inside a larger brick called ‘redemption’; redeemed by Christ’s blood. The ‘redemption’ brick was then put inside a brick – called ‘adoption’. We are adopted as children of God. ‘Adoption’ was then fitted into ‘election’; Through election, God had chosen us to be saved.

At this stage, the teacher had only one last brick, the very last one - the largest brick. Written on it was ‘The L_______ J__________ C__________’. He did a recap: going over what he had taught, explaining each blessing. In conclusion, as he was about to identify the largest brick, a boy raised his hand up and called out, ‘It’s the Lord Jesus Christ!’ Yes, every spiritual
blessing is in Christ. Once a person has received the Lord Jesus, there is nothing more precious for him to receive.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be richly blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ! We are indeed very rich, is there anything we lack? In Christ, God has bestowed us with the riches of heaven. What are you waiting for? Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved and receive God’s blessings in Christ.
