JUNE 14, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Have you spent a long time away from a loved one? If you have not seen a loved one for a long time, would you very much look forward to seeing him or her again? I’m sure you would. Their return would be a most happy event! Likewise, as the day of our beloved Saviour’s return draws near, are we looking forward to this glorious event? It’s not too far away!

The second coming of Christ is important for us to know so that we can grow in faith and live confidently with hope. Today’s passage tells us about the first event that will herald the last 1007 years of this earth as we know it. This first event is called the rapture. We will study more about the rapture in the coming days.

He knows every detail and reveals these key events to us through His Word.The world around us will keep changing, but Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Our future is in His hands, and we have an eternal and wonderful hope in Him.
