JUNE 15, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Certain key events will take place before the second coming of Christ. When He comes again, it will not be as the meek and mild Saviour, but as King and Judge. Jesus will come again in full authority to rule the earth with the saints. Let’s put these events – before and after Christ’s return, on a timeline. Read the verses and fill in the blanks with the matching event.

The first key event is the Rapture. It can happen at any moment. All the signs (Matthew 24:3-24) are pointing us to the fact that Christ will come for us soon. Are you ready? We live each day as though there will always be a tomorrow. Children look forward to playing computer and iPhone games, or trips to overseas amusement parks. Parents want to see their children grow up and have successful careers and happy families. But do we look forward to the Lord’s return and are we ready for it? Or have we grown to love the world more than heaven? We will learn more about the Rapture in the next few days.

Thought: Jesus is coming to earth again, what if it were today?
