JULY 4, 1 Corinthians 2:12,13

From yesterday’s text, we learnt that the worldly wise do not know God. Why? We will know the reason from today’s text. It says that they do not have the Spirit of God, that is the Holy Spirit, living inside them. However, those who love God know Him because the Holy Spirit inside them teaches them about God and the things of God. Child, do you love God?

Only Christians can have the Holy Spirit. If you are a true believer, you would have the Holy Spirit and what a blessing that is!

The Holy Spirit would guide us in the right way. When we are naughty or want to do something wrong, we must feel troubled. And when that happens, dear child, listen to the Holy Spirit and obey. Repent of your naughty ways and seek God for forgiveness. He does not talk to us in a human voice, but speaks to us through the Bible, for the Bible is God’s Word. So we must be faithful in reading the Bible, to do our Quiet Time, to read our Junior RPG…

Are you faithful in these daily readings? I know it is hard, and even adult Christians miss Quiet Time once in a while. So don’t feel bad. But do press on!

However, reading the Bible is not enough. We need to obey. And that is how the Holy Spirit can help us – in guiding us and teaching us how to live a life that would please God.
