MARCH 4, 2 Peter 1:4

When a person is dying on the sickbed, the greatest comfort anyone can give them is the simple promise that our God will bring them to a far better place in Heaven where they will be happy forever. When you or I go through difficulties in life, the simple promise of our God that He will care for us and protect us is enough for us to go patiently through that trial. Imagine what we would be without the promises of God?

These simple promises are also “exceeding great and precious”. The Author of the Bible is the omnipotent God of Heaven and earth. He will not make any promises unless He wants to. These wonderful promises of grace and favour have been given to us. They relate to things that are eternal and spiritual, so that we will have grace and peace. And you know what? These promises are of far more value than gold and silver!
