Daniel 2:36-45

“BEHOLD, HE COMETH WITH CLOUDS”
 
Our God does not leave us in the dark concerning His future plans. “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7). Our Lord Jesus said, “But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things” (Mark 13:23). He that hath ears let him hear! Do not doubt His Word. Read. Hear. Take heed. For His Word will come to pass.
 
To Daniel, a man greatly beloved of God, was given a vision which spanned some twenty-six centuries of future world history. Daniel saw the four major world powers of history portrayed by the four parts of a great image:
 
Head of gold= Babylon 606-536 BC
Breast and arms of silver = Medo-Persia 536-331 BC
Belly and thighs of brass = Greece 331-168 BC
Legs of iron = Rome 168 BC-AD 476
Feet of iron and clay = (?) “the end time”
 
The last part of the great image is of debatable interpretation, but one school of prophecy sees in the feet of iron-clay mixture the end time Revived Roman Empire or the “United States of Europe.” According to this view, the world will come under the control of this Rome-dominated European power which will, at the return of Jesus Christ, be destroyed and superseded by the Kingdom of God.
 
To the Apostle John, God gave a vision of that CLIMACTIC EVENT. “Behold, he cometh with clouds…” Who is He, but the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the Creator and Almighty JUDGE to come. This MOMENTOUS EVENT which will bring to a conclusion world HISTORY is mentioned in 1,800 passages of the Bible. God has spoken, let the world take heed! The Lord of Creation is coming, soon! Are you ready? Ready to meet your Creator, the Judge?
 
THOUGHT: Not lack of warning, but lack of faith.

PRAYER: Father, give me faith, more faith, to believe Thy Word.
