MAY 5, John 3:16

God is holy and must punish sin. But God loves man. How do you know that? Read John 3:16 again “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus Christ came to earth as a human person to take the punishment for your sins and my sins. And when we believe in Him, He forgives our sins and gives us everlasting life in Heaven.

Dear reader, do you know God’s love? Romans 5:5 says “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Love is the first characteristic of the Fruit of the Spirit.

Draw some pictures or name some of the things around you, which show God’s love. An example is the beautiful rainbow.

Thought: I see many things in nature telling of God’s love for me.
