FEBRUARY 5, John 10:9
Remember the reading for 1st February? We learnt then that there is only one door into the sheepfold. Shepherds and sheep use this door. But thieves and those who are not the real shepherds cannot use this door.
Jesus is the “door” for us. Not that Jesus is any physical door we see in our house or school, but Jesus is the only way through which we go to God the Father, Jesus is the only way through whom we can go to heaven. In faith, we must “enter” this door and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.
Have you “entered” that door? Have you committed your life to Jesus? Have you accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour?
Read the Bible verse John 10:1 to find out the missing letters:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that entereth not by the __oor into the sheepf__ld,
but climbeth up some __ther way,
the same is a thief and a __obber.”
The underlined alphabets form the word: __ __ __ __
SONG:
One door and only one, And yet its sides are two,
Inside and outside, On which side are you?
One door and only one, And yet its sides are two,
I’m on the inside, On which side are you?
(Randall Dennis & Karyn Henley)
Thought: Jesus is the only Door to Heaven.
Prayer 1: (If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour) Heavenly Father, I confess my sins and know that without Jesus, I’m destined for punishment in hell. Please forgive me of my sins, and I want to accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Prayer 2: (If you have already accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour) Heavenly Father, thank you for salvation in Jesus. Please show me how to live a faithful Christian life, and to tell others about You, the only Door to enter if they want to have their sins forgiven. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
