FEBRUARY 22, Psalm 23:6

Jesus Christ is a wonderful Shepherd! He gives His sheep everything that they need on earth. They have food and rest. When they stray away or lose their way, He leads them back. He guides them with His Holy Word. He comforts them with His presence. If they are in danger or in trouble He protects them. The Lord’s blessings of love and care are wonderful promises for every believer for their life on earth. But there is a more glorious promise for all eternity.

“And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever” (Psalm 23:6b). “Dwell” means to live. Where is the house of the LORD? Yes, Heaven, and it will be forever. Jesus takes good care of His sheep while they are on earth. He also has a special plan for them in Heaven. Dear child, if you are not one of His sheep, please do not waste any more time. Pray to receive Jesus as your Saviour. Ask Him to forgive your sins and take charge of your life today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that one day, Heaven will be my eternal home. Until then, please help me to live each day pleasing You in all that I do. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
