PAUL: HIS THIRD MISSIONARY JOURNEY
 
Paul’s missionary work was met with intense opposition which grew during his third missionary journey. This was expected, for Satan sought to hinder the spread of the Gospel and the growth of the churches. Attacks came in many forms, from false believers to public riots. Yet, none of these could stop Paul and his companions from pressing forward, proclaiming the Word of God in as many places as possible.
 
Threats to life are fearful, and the natural tendency of servants is to retreat from such spiritual warfare. But let us remember: we are on the Lord’s side. When we fight the Lord’s battles, we do not fight with the weapons of flesh. The Lord Himself is with us, and the battle belongs to Him. Horses and chariots of the enemy are nothing compared to the power of God. Even the most advanced arsenal of modern nations is nothing against the omnipotence of the Almighty. Victory is assured, for He who is with us is greater than any force in the universe. The Scriptures are filled with promises and prophecies that confirm this truth.
 
Do you face threats because of your witness for Christ? Are you falsely accused because you proclaim His grace? Are you rejected because you declare the hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ? Fear not, for God is with you, even to the ends of the earth. The all-powerful God will never fail to help you. The all-knowing God will never forget you. The ever-present God will never leave you nor forsake you.
 
The end is near; we must lift up our eyes, for our redemption draws close. In His perfect plan, the Lord has appointed times and seasons for His servants to be victorious in ministry. He has foreordained all things according to His purposes. Let every heart be comforted, for God is trustworthy and faithful. Whatever trials or tribulations we face, the Lord is able to deliver us. Nothing should draw us away from Him, for with the Almighty we are assured of victory over Satan and his hosts.
 
THOUGHT: The Lord has revealed Himself in the Holy Scriptures. Do I trust Him?
PRAYER: Father, grant me sensitivity to Thy voice, that I may be assured of Thy perfect will for Thy servant.
