CHOOSE ETERNAL LIFE

JANUARY 11

PROVERBS 8:35-36

CHOOSE ETERNAL LIFE

When you take a stroll in the Singapore Botanical Gardens, do you notice the many junctions where you have to choose a path to take? You choose according to your preference of destination, won’t you? God has set only two pathways for everybody in this world. Everyone has to make a  decision and our decision will determine where we will end up forever. One way leads to eternal life; the other to eternal death.

The only way to eternal life is Jesus Christ, who has said," I am the way,  the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father but by me". If you have chosen to believe and follow Jesus, you will live forever in heaven. God says He will bless you if you love God and choose to obey His commandments. Have you decided to follow Jesus?

Listen to what God says about those who choose to continue in their sinful path. ose who hate God have chosen destruction of their own souls and will burn forever in the Lake of Fire. They have chosen death.

Will you knowingly choose death? Some may tell you that you need not choose because you can be a free thinker. It is as good as saying that there is no God. Only fools say that there is no God. Don’t believe in this lie, for God has said that there are only two ways. A free thinker’s way is the same as the sinful path.

Children, if you have not chosen to follow Jesus, be wise and do so today. If you have, share your joyous experience with your friends so that they will also want to follow Jesus.

The Bible says "...wide is the gate, and broad is the way, which leadeth to destruction,..." and "...strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life,...."
Write the words,
"LIFE" and "DEATH"
at the correct destination.

Thought: Jesus is the only way to life; any other way leads to death.
Prayer: Our Father in Heaven, help me to faithfully stay on the path of  righteousness that leads to heaven. Help me to love You more and more each day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
