EVERY GOOD GIFT IS FROM ABOVE

One thing we can be very sure about is that God is good. God is also the source of all good gifts.

What gifts have you received? Answer: ______________________
(for example, talent in drawing or helping people).The gifts we have are not for us to boast but for good use and for the praise and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Which means we are to help others, as we’re told by God to love them.

How should a Christian make use of his gifts? A story in the Bible tells of a master giving his servants each some money. Some are given more and others given less. Most of them made good use of the money and made some pro ts. e master was pleased with them and rewarded them further. This is exactly what is expected of Christians. You must do good to others with what you have been given by God. However, there was one servant who simply kept the money without putting it to use and his action displeased his master. What does that mean? at means doing nothing at all with the gifts God has given you is not the right thing to do.

A Christian life is one of giving. Christ gave His life for us. We follow His example. Out of love for mankind, He sacrificed His life. He loved us. We love because He rst loved us. A Christian can give out of love only because God enables him. A Christian must give freely and cheerfully. A Christian must not be selfish and greedy. Let’s share and be kind. We should think of others before ourselves because all the good in the world comes from God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me talents for service. Help me not to be sel sh and do good to others. I know it is not easy but Heavenly Father, please teach me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
