Psalm 32:1-3
BLESSEDNESS OF SINS FORGIVEN
Here we see a sinner praying before the throne of God. He is like the publican mentioned in Luke 18:10-14. He is burdened by the knowledge of unconfessed sin within his heart, and comes very sorry and sad for what he had done, to ask God for forgiveness. He is very humble for he knows that he has offended and grieved the thrice-holy God who also loves him.
When he knows that the Lord hears and forgives him, his joy is great. He counts himself most blessed. He knows that God has shown him great mercy which he does not deserve.
Another man prayed, but he is different from the publican. In Luke 18:10-14, the self-righteous Pharisee thought he followed the law diligently. He thought he never sinned. So he came to God proudly, never confessing his sins. He never experienced the joy of sins forgiven. Instead, his sins remained with him and the anger of the Lord was upon him.
Have you confessed your sins to the Lord?
Colour the following pictures.
Put a tick against the man whose sins will be forgiven.

Thought: To keep silent about our sins is wrong.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, make me aware and come to You to confess my sins every day, for You are faithful and just to forgive my sins. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
