FRET NOT BECAUSE OF EVILDOERS

JUNE 24

Psalm 37:1-5

FRET NOT BECAUSE OF EVILDOERS

If you were falsely accused of copying during a test, how would you feel? Of course, the answer is "terrible". What if the accuser was the one who actually copied? That would make you feel worse! There are people like that, whether children or adults. These are what the bible calls "evildoers", those who live their lives without regard to others and God.

Sometimes we see evildoers enjoying prosperity. They seem to be happy and enjoy luxuries. God says we are not to fret over it, thinking that it very unfair. We are not to be envious or jealous of them. Although we are poorer or su er more, the Lord is righteous in all His acts.

God’s Word says that the wicked will soon be cut down. The destruction of the ungodly will be speedy, sudden, sure and complete. Like wild grass, they are soon cut down and withered. Their glory and power is only for a moment, but those who trust in the Lord and delight in living righteously, will live with God forever.

We will enjoy the Lord’s blessings here on earth, and will also be promised eternal life with Him. With this knowledge, why should we envy those whose glory is merely like wild grass?

Circle the right words. Evildoers will pass away as quickly as...
       Flowers      Grass    Vapour     Herbs     Rocks

Thought: God will never leave or forsake His children (Hebrews 13:5).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, feed me with more of Your truth and I shall increase in my faith. Teach me to be contented, for You have blessed and promised me so much. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
