1 Corinthians 15:19

HOPE IN CHRIST

All who believe in Christ have hope in Him. All who believe in Him as a Savior hope for salvation by Him and for heaven to be with Him and God the Father. Jesus is the Way to heaven.
John 14:6 says,
“I am the __________, the __________, and the __________: no man __________ unto the Father, but by __________.”

Can you go to heaven by yourself ? No, Jesus takes you up there. Have you been to a shopping mall? Candice likes to go shopping in a mall with her parents, especially riding on the escalator. She will stand on the bottom step and the escalator will take her up to the next level.

One day, Candice tells her 3-year-old brother, Calvin about riding on the escalator. “What’s an escalator?” Calvin asks.

“It has steps that automatically move,” answers Candice, “You don’t need to walk up. The steps carry you up.”

“Wow! This is amazing!” Calvin exclaims. Overhearing their conversation, Mum walks in. She says, “Jesus is like an escalator. He takes people up to heaven.” Do you agree with what Mum says?

When Jesus lived on earth, one of His disciples, Thomas asked Him, “How can we know the way to where you are going?” Jesus did not say that he would show Thomas the way, but He said, “I am the way.” Jesus Himself takes people to heaven. He is like the escalator.

When we believe in Jesus and love Him and trust Him, we are on the way to heaven.

Thought: How is Jesus like the escalator?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is the Way to heaven and He will take us there because we can’t get there ourselves. Please help us to keep close to Jesus everyday. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
