JANUARY 9, Luke 2:15-20
The shepherds finally found the manger where Jesus was born. With the song of the angels ringing in their ears and the joy of hearing that a Saviour was born, they fell on their knees to worship Jesus. Filled with great joy, they will remember this night long after the visit.
When they returned home, they did not keep quiet, but burst out telling everyone of the wonderful news of the Saviour’s birth! Moreover, they have seen the baby Jesus – and what a great privilege that must have been! These shepherds, having experienced Jesus, just had to share about Jesus. How about you? Do you want to share about Jesus?
Imagine you have discovered the most wonderful game or toy that you know would benefit your loved ones and friends. Would you not want to share that with them? Of course! What more if you know such a great Lord as Jesus!
If you were saved, you would have done some of these things.
1. You have told someone that you are a Christian.
2. You have invited someone to church or VBS.
3. You pray everyday or almost everyday.
4. You enjoy reading/listening to the Bible.
5. You like to sing/play/listen to hymns.
6. You share tracts with friends or others.
Thought: Blessed are those who believe in Jesus.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me courage and great joy in telling others about Jesus. Sometimes it is not easy, and I am afraid people may laugh at me. But give me courage heavenly Father, then I will be brave enough to share this good news with people you have placed in my life. For this I ask in His precious name, amen.
