FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – FAITH (II)

MARCH 25, Galatians 5:22, Luke 16:10

Faith is given to us by the Spirit living inside us. How is your faith? Do you really believe that God will save you from an eternal hell? Do you have a desire to be faithful to Him? The world demands our loyalty. There are many things that attract us and rob us from keeping a good relationship with God. But we are called to remain faithful to God!

The Christian faith is the experience of living in a new personal relationship with God through the transforming and indwelling power of the Holy Spirit in us. The key to this new experience of living is trusting God. Have faith in Him to make you into a new person by allowing Him make you a kinder, gentler, more faithful child.

One area we may know we are in the faith is whether we love Christian fellowship. A true Christian will want to have fellowship or friendship with other Christians. All Christians should be involved in some church fellowship. Are you? Or are you always with your non-Christian friends? Or perhaps you do not like being with other Christians? If so, why is that the case?

The Bible instructs us that we should be faithful brothers and sisters to one another in God’s family because of our common relationship to our Lord Jesus Christ. We should be eager to think of the kind and good things of others. We help each other in our spiritual walk within the church body. We also stand by each other. Learn to demonstrate your faith in God by getting to know more Christians. In that way, you may be able to help them, and they in turn may be able to encourage you. Play more with other Christian children and in turn, all of you would be able to strengthen your friendship with each other and ultimately, encourage each other to be close to God.

Thought: Do I have enough Christian fellowship?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, make me be good and faithful. There are so many distractions that draw me away from being a good and faithful Christian. Heavenly Father, help me have more good Christian friends so that together we may grow and learn more of Your Word and Your goodness. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
