MARCH 22, Galatians 5:22, John 10:14-15
How to be good? We cannot be good until we know where goodness comes from. Of course, goodness can only come from God. God is good! He is good all of the time – His character is good, His thoughts are good, His plans are good, His Word is good. Everything about God is good.
John 10:14-15 – I am the good __________, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my __________ for the sheep. There is no better example of God’s goodness than when He sent His son into the world to save sinners. It was not as if we deserved it, or that God had no other choice. He could have left us in our sins to suffer eternal hell. But He sent Jesus to rescue us, to show us His goodness and to turn us back to Himself.
So, goodness comes from God. And as His children, we are to be like Him. Goodness does not exist in a vacuum – it does things. You and I can do good things to others.

We can do a lot of good things to other people with God’s help and strength. Boys and girls, our lives bring glory to God when we are good to others!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank God that You are eternally good and You are a perfect example for me. Teach me to learn to be a better child and to show that I am a Christian by doing good to others around me! is is my prayer in Jesus’ name - amen.
