There may be some people who always cause trouble. Their hearts harbour bitter envying and strife (verse 14). James says that they possess “wisdom” which is of the devil (verse 15).

But, let’s take a look at good wisdom. Good wisdom is about the right way we live our lives. It comes from God and is called heavenly wisdom. According to verse 13, one who has heavenly wisdom shows _______________ (unscramble OOGD DCTONUC) and is _______________ (unscramble MLHEUB).

Besides being peace-loving, what 7 other things make up heavenly wisdom? Verse 17 has the answer. Circle the 7 things.

GOOD FRUITS        DEVILISH            IMPARTIAL
EARTHLY         EASILY OBEYING        SENSUAL
SINCERE         FULL OF MERCY         EVIL
PURE                CONFUSION            GENTLE

Thought: Why is it important not to take revenge?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, sometimes I treat others unfairly because I am selfish and proud. Please forgive me. Make me a peace-maker. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
