JUNE 9, Psalm 15:3-5 

Do you remember the song about ‘the wise man and the foolish man’? Why was one house unmoved while the other was destroyed?

Did you know what kind people in this world cannot be destroyed? These are the people of God. They shall not be moved by the troubles of this world because of the right things the children of God do.

What are some of these right things? Firstly, a child of God will not do evil to his neighbour. Who is your neighbour? Anyone really, not just the person who lives next to you. A child of God will not say unkind things, or spread gossip. That is just not what Jesus would do, and that is what we should not do, too!

A child of God also behaves honourably. That is a big word and by that, we mean he acts in a right way, dares to stand against evil. He also keeps his promises.

Dear child, on what foundation are you building your life? Is it the foundation of the solid Rock that Jesus is, or is it the shifting sand and weak foundation of personal dreams and ambition?

Thought: Do I have a sure foundation in the LORD?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, may You help me to resist doing evil against others, and to live for You. It is not easy to live a good Christian life. Sometimes I fail but Heavenly Father, please help me when I stumble. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
