JULY 4, 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 

We all have teachers. Some are nice and some, nasty , but most will like a teacher who can teach well in a gentle way. Today, we shall learn that the Holy Spirit is exactly that – a wonderful teacher who is gentle at the same time.

These two verses teach that all spiritual knowledge is given to us by God through His Spirit. We ourselves are unable to know spiritual truths unless God through His Holy Spirit reveals them. The Holy Spirit has infinite knowledge of all things. He is all knowing, as He is God, and God is all knowing.

This does not mean the Holy Spirit teaches you about Science or the languages. For that, we have our school teachers and tutors. What he will teach us are the deep things of the Lord. For anyone to know he is a sinner and to repent, he has to be taught by the Holy Spirit.

Two boys go to school. How does one boy know about spiritual things and the other does not?

This is because A is saved and __________ ( norb) again of the __________ (itirsp) which reveals to him of the __________(pede) things of God.

Thought: Man on his own cannot know the things of the Spirit of God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please give me a deeper understanding of the things of God. Help me to understand them with the help of the Holy Spirit so that I can learn and apply more truths in my life. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
