SEPTEMBER 6, Isaiah 3:8-15
In this chapter, God describes the terrible reckoning that will face Jerusalem and Judah as He removes His blessings from His people. God will take away their able leaders and replace them with incompetent ones who will lead them astray. “O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths” (verse 12).
These leaders will also treat the people badly. They will oppress and take from the poor to fatten themselves, “the spoil of the poor is in your houses” (verse 14). They will beat up the people and “grind the faces of the poor” (verse 15).
What is the right way to treat the poor and the weak of this world? God teaches us how in these verses. Check them out and write them in the space provided.

Thought: Be kind to the poor.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that I can help the poor and needy because Thou has given me enough. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
