JULY 17, 1 Kings 18:13-16 

Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighted in his way”What kind of man will God consider a good man?

King David was called a “man after God’s heart”. Obadiah did a good deed by hiding and taking care of a hundred godly prophets at the risk of his own life. Although doing good deeds does not make us good, Obadiah had a good motive. He feared God. Elijah sought God’s direction in everything and was obedient to God’s every command.There is something common among them:

1. God is in all their thoughts and they fully trust God.

2. God’s Word is in their hearts and they obey God’s every command.

These good men spent their lives doing what God wants them to do. God is pleased and guides them in every step they take. Do you want God to consider you a “good man”?

Design a poster with the words: The Steps of a Good Man are Ordered by the Lord.

Thought: When we trust and obey God, He guides our every step.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be a good child, and please guide my steps daily. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
