MARCH 21, Philippians 3:18-19
In any warfare, it is crucial to know who is a friend and who is an enemy. As Christians, we are soldiers of the Cross. What does the Cross represent?
The Cross signifies the love of God for sinners. God loved the people of the world even though we are all sinners. He loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to die on the Cross that whosoever believes in Jesus will be saved from condemnation to hell.
Dying on the cross is the most painful form of physical death. Suppose Jesus did not die on the cross. What would happen to sinners like us? We will not be able to escape the condemnation to eternal hell fire. We are born in sin and deserve the punishment which is eternal death. But, Jesus has conquered death on the cross.
The enemies of the cross are those who do not believe, haters of God and the Devil’s friends who want God’s salvation plan to fail! How can we identify them? First they live godless lives which would end in destruction. Next, they are under the control of sin and live to fulfil their fleshly lusts. They are also famous for their immorality. Finally, what fill their minds constantly are earthly pleasures and things.
Christians! Beware! Don’t ever be buddies with the enemies of the Cross lest you follow them in their corrupt ways! Follow only Jesus!

Thought: I must not be an enemy of the Cross.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive all my sins. I believe Jesus died on the Cross for my sins and I am going to heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
